ABIA – The Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Coordinator of the Abia Airport Project, Pastor Okorougo Aji, has lauded Governor Alex Otti, for his remarkable transformation across all sectors of the State’s economy.

Speaking at the Okpuala Umugwor Community Primary School, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting of all ten wards in the council area, organized by him, Pastor Aji described Governor Otti as “a rare gift and an answer to the prayers of Ndi Abia.”

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands while commending the Governor for his visionary leadership, infrastructural renewal, revival of the state’s economy, educational reforms, healthcare improvement, agricultural revolution, youth empowerment in digital technology, attraction of investors among others, noted that the present administration is deliberately changing the negative narrative and repositioning Abia as a model of socio-economic progress.

He further urged the people of Osisioma Ngwa and Abians at large to continue supporting the Governor Otti led administration in the state, while encouraging residents who are yet to obtain, replace, or transfer their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to visit the council headquarters and complete their registration.


In his opening remarks, the Labour Party Chairman, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Chief Sylvanus Nwachukwu, while applauding Governor Alex Otti for his people-centered governance, described him as a leader whose actions are driven by sincerity, accountability and passion for service.

Also speaking, the Mayor of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Chief Chidi Agu, lauded Pastor Aji for his commitment to the Labour Party and for organizing the meeting, which he described as timely and strategic. He reaffirmed the council’s readiness to partner with the state government in implementing life-enhancing projects and sustaining the tempo of good governance across the wards.

The meeting also featured the formal reception of scores of decampees from other political parties from Umunneise Ward 9, led by Apostle David Ezuma, into the Labour Party by the LP LGA Chairman, and attracted the presence of members of Osisioma Ngwa LGA Legislative Council.
