UMUAHIA – The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has urged ministers of the gospel to remain firmly grounded in their divine calling as they navigate the complexities of today’s rapidly changing world.

Pastor Ajagba who was a guest speaker at a four-day seminar organized for seminarians by the Trinity Theological College, Umuahia, emphasized that the pastoral assignment requires more than theoretical knowledge.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor while speaking on the theme, “The Pastor in Me and the Challenging Times,” noted that the pressures of modern society demand spiritual depth, emotional intelligence and unwavering commitment, encouraged the seminarians to cultivate a lifestyle of personal devotion, discipline and sacrifice.

Pastor Ajagba also harped on the need for ministers to understand the dynamics of contemporary challenges, including moral decline, societal unrest, technological distractions and the increasing burden on church leadership as well as
commended the college for its role in shaping leaders who combine godly character with intellectual rigor, describing theological education as a crucial foundation for effective ministry.

In his remarks, the Registrar of the Institute, Ven. Dr Godwin Izike, appreciated Pastor Ajagba for his insightful presentation and for inspiring the seminarians with practical lessons drawn from both ministry and public service.

He reaffirmed the seminary’s commitment to producing well-rounded ministers who can stand as moral beacons and spiritual guides in a challenging world.
