ABIA – Governor, Alex Otti, has commended the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, for its enduring commitment to faith, moral discipline and community development.

Gov Otti who gave the commendation during the 50th anniversary and dedication of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assemblies of God Church, 3-15 Ozuitem Road, Aba, described the golden jubilee as a landmark celebration of God’s faithfulness and the church’s impactful presence in Aba and beyond.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, congratulated the leadership and congregation on the successful completion and dedication of the Pro-Cathedral as well as lauded the church for its investments in spiritual growth, education and social responsibility over the last five decades.

The Chief Executive reaffirmed his administration’s regards for the Church and other faith-based bodies, emphasizing that Abia under his leadership will continue to promote an atmosphere where religious harmony, ethical leadership and community service can thrive.

He further encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in prayer for the state and the nation, stressing that genuine development is sustained not only by sound policies but also by strong moral foundations, assuring that Aba and other parts of the State will continue to experience greater transformations in the coming year.

In his speech while dedicating the cathedral, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria, Rev. Abel Amadi, thanked God for 50 years of grace, growth and divine guidance over the Pro-Cathedral.

He lauded the dedication and sacrifices of past and present leaders, the clergy and members whose commitment made the golden jubilee and cathedral dedication possible as well as appreciated Governor Otti for honoring the occasion and for his visible commitment to good governance.

The golden jubilee anniversary and dedication of the Pro-Cathedral which featured prayers for Governor otti and the state, cutting of cake, choral renditions also attracted the presence of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Dr George Chidozie among other distinguished personalities.
