UMUAHIA – Governor Alex Otti has condoled Pastor Ejike Oji over the death of his wife, Pastor Mrs Olubunmi Arike Ejike-Oji.

In his condolence message during a funeral service conducted by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Trinity House, beside the State House of Assembly, Umuahia, Governor Otti described the death of a loved one especially that of a beloved wife and mother as painful.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, while describing the late Pastor Mrs. Olubunmi as a virtuous woman of faith, compassion and service, whose life was devoted to God, family and humanity, noted that her commitment to Christian service and support to her husband’s ministry left an enduring impact on many lives.

The State Chief Executive further enjoined the bereaved family to take solace in her exemplary life and the hope of resurrection and prayed God to grant Pastor Ejike Oji, the children and the entire family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

In a homily titled, “The Must Do Appointment” Pastor Boniface Okenwa, described death as a divine appointment that awaits every mortal irrespective of age, gender or social status and charged all to be mindful of the way they live their lives.

In his tribute, the Chief Mourner and husband of the deceased, Pastor Ejike Oji, described his late wife as a virtuous woman, intelligent, loving, caring and God fearing woman whose death has created a big vacuum in their hearts.

He thanked Governor Otti, the church, friends, well-wishers and all that came to identify with his family during their moment of grief.

Aged 63, Late Pastor Mrs Olubunmi Arike Ejike Oji is survived by husband, children, grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

The funeral service which featured prayers for the bereaved family, condolence messages also attracted the presence of the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Enoch Ogbonnaya among other distinguished personalities.
