Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has charged newly wedded couples, to make God the foundation of their marital union in order to enjoy a peaceful, stable and fulfilling home.

Governor Otti who gave the charge at Umuakwu Central School in Isiala Ngwa North LGA during the traditional wedding reception of former Miss Chikamnele Justina Alozie and Mr Chisom Nwaogbe, described marriage as a sacred covenant ordained by God.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, while cautioning the couple against allowing third-party interference in their marital affairs, urged them to build their home on prayer, faith and shared values, emphasizing that divine guidance remains essential for navigating the journey of married life and achieving lasting harmony.
The State Chief Executive advised the couple to imbibe the virtues of patience, tolerance, and mutual understanding, reminding them that marriage is a partnership that requires continuous sacrifice, support, and commitment to each other’s growth and aspirations.
He encouraged them to protect their union, allow love to guide their actions, and let peace reign in their home, expressing confidence that their marriage would serve as a positive example to others within and beyond their community.

Secretary of Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, Mr Chisom Nwaogbe, appreciated Governor Otti for honoring their wedding with his presence and for the wise counsel offered.
He assured that they are committed to building a God-fearing home anchored on love, patience, and understanding, while appreciating the prayers and goodwill extended to them as they begin their marital journey.
