ABIA – Governor Alex Otti, has attributed the ongoing transformation across the state to faith-driven leadership, strategic preparation and alignment with divine purpose.

Governor Otti who made this known at Obuzo Asa, in Ukwa West LGA, during the annual Minister’s Prayer Network Conference MPN, organized by the International Head Coordinator of MPN, Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba, described the progress recorded so far in the state as the product of deliberate vision rather than chance.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, appreciated the participants for identifying with what he described as a great vision, describing Prof. Madugba as a globally respected spiritual force whose ministry has impacted nations.

The State Chief Executive noted that the presence of Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba symbolises spiritual reinforcement, adding that many of the benefits currently enjoyed by believers and societies are traceable to the prayers and sacrifices of spiritual leaders who laboured ahead of time.

Governor Otti while recalling the events of January 12, 2024, when the Supreme Court delivered its final verdict affirming his electoral victory, disclosed that prior to the judgment, he had visited the same venue in prayer, emphasizing that trust in God, rather than reliance on human structures, laid the foundation for the achievements being witnessed in Abia today.
He further explained that his administration deliberately avoided distractions and unhealthy political competition, choosing instead to assemble a prepared, competent and purpose-driven workforce capable of delivering results. He disclosed that the developments recorded between May 29th, 2023 and the present are only foundational, expressing confidence that by the end of the year, Abia would emerge with a renewed identity and stronger institutional structure.

In his speech earlier, the International Head Coordinator of Minister’s Prayer Network MPN, Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba, identified the understanding of times and seasons as critical to effective governance and commended Governor Otti for turning the state into a centre of renewed possibilities where progress is inevitable.

The event which featured prayers for the Governor and the state, attracted the presence of the Mayor of Ukwa West LGA, Pastor Dike Nwankwo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Uzo Nwachukwu, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle Kenneth Wiper, the clergy among other distinguished personalities.
