The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has charged Abians to resist the moves being made by members of the opposition parties in the state against Governor Alex Otti, as they are bent on returning Abia to political Egypt.

Pastor Ajagba who gave the charge at Umuezegu Community School, Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North LGA during an enlarged meeting with the people of Ward 3, Isiala Nsulu, convened by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, described Governor Otti as a visionary leader on a divinely inspired mission to rebuild the state.

Pastor Ajagba, who emphasised that members of the opposition were bent on reversing the gains already made by the Governor Alex Otti led administration, condemned the renewed political opposition activities and attacks against the Governor, and questioned the credibility of those who now claims to have the capacity to govern the state better than the Governor.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor disclosed that the previous administrations failed to fix Abia state for 24 years, but the Otti-led administration has within two years and some months in office achieved remarkable progress that has remained unparalleled.

Pastor Ajagba while explaining that the present administration in the state began from ground zero, confronting infrastructure decay and systemic challenges that could have discouraged less prepared leadership, noted that Governor Otti came prepared and assembled a team driven by passion and competence to reverse years of decline and change the negative narrative about the state.

According to Pastor Ajagba, Governor Alex Otti is on a divine rescue mission, and cannot be derailed by political distractions. He expressed confidence that divine intervention would frustrate any conspiracy against the present administration.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor further thanked his Ward 3, Isiala Nsulu people for their continued support for the present administration and assured that the Governor is committed to delivering more democracy dividends to the people of the State.

In his speech, the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Ginger Onwusibe, lauded Governor Otti for his transformative and infrastructural strides across Isiala Ngwa and other parts of the state.

Chief Onwusibe appreciated the Governor for the construction and rehabilitation of critical road infrastructure in the area, including the Ntigha-Nbawsi-Eziala road, Nbawsi-Agburuike-Umuomaiukwu Road, Avor-Umuerim Road, Okpuala Ngwa–Obikabia Road, Ntigha-Nbawsi-Umuala road among others.

The federal lawmaker further thanked the Otti administration’s interventions in key sectors including Health, Education, Security and Transportation, noting that the recent migration of communities in Isiala Ngwa to the Geometrics Power has brought uninterrupted electricity supply to the area, a development that has significantly improved the quality of life of the people.

In their separate speeches, the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Otumchere Oti, the Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday and their Transport counterpart, Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu, said that the Governor Otti-led administration, since assuming office, has embarked on massive road construction and rehabilitation across Abia State.


They noted that Isiala Ngwa communities have benefitted immensely from the Light Up Abia Project, including the provision of transformers and would benefit the more, assuring the people of more quality roads across all nooks and crannies of the state, enhanced transportation systems and improved power supply to other areas.

In their remarks, the State Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Emmanuel Oti, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership, Chief Green Amakwe, Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Coordinator, Abia Airport Project, Pastor Okorougo Aji and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Cooperatives, Hon. Ishmael Onuoha, commended Governor Otti for his developmental strides across all facets of the state economy.

They appreciated the people of Isiala Nsulu for their solidarity and unwavering support for the Governor, urging them to sustain the momentum and ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the ongoing voter cards registration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a vote of thanks, the Ward 3 Chairman, Labour Party, Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Mr John Nduaguibe, thanked Pastor Caleb Ajagba for convening the meeting and assured him of their unalloyed support to the Governor Otti led administration.

The meeting attracted political leaders, Community Stakeholders, Labour Party supporters from Ward 3 Isiala Nsulu, among other distinguished personalities.
