ABIA – Governor Alex Otti has congratulated the Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze for the success of their 2026 RUN Conference and the dedication of their new Church Auditorium in Umuahia.
Governor Otti who worshipped at the Church as a Guest of honor in company of his wife, Mrs Priscilla Otti at the dedication of the new Church Auditorium, described the new Church edifice as being consistent with the new Abia standard.
Governor Otti who also used the forum to congratulate the wife of the General Overseer and Chairman, Abia State Civil Service Commission, Pastor Enoh Jerry-Eze on her birthday, thanked Pastor Jerry Eze, his wife and the Church for their sustained prayers for his administration.
The Governor announced that all he is doing in the state is to restore the dignity of the Abia people, assuring that Abians will enjoy more democracy dividends ahead.
Speaking earlier while introducing the Governor, Pastor Jerry Eze noted that he has been out of the state for the past one year and expressed surprise with the level of transformation that has taken place across the state under Governor Alex Otti as Governor.
Pastor Eze said that, such transformation being witnessed across the state is how governance should look like and expressed the hope that Abians will experience greater democracy dividends under Governor Otti.
Earlier in his sermon, a guest preacher, founder and Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) London, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, while urging Christians to rely solely on God, assured that everything God has said would come to pass.
He urged members of Streams of Joy to take the vision of the ministry wherever they find themselves to keep the vision of the church alive by supporting the Lead Pastor through intercession.
Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo appreciated what God is doing in the state through Governor Alex Otti, describing it as evidence of a righteous man on the throne, commending Governor Otti for his intentional service to humanity.
The dedication service which attracted the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Augustine Okezie, the Acting SSG, Dr Emmanuel Meribole, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba and many other dignitaries, featured cutting of cake and prayers for the state.
