Mama Helen Chinyere Abalogu Set for Burial on April 17

The remains of Mama Helen Chinyere Abalogu, will be laid to rest at her husband’s compound, Ahiaeke Azueke Ibeku, in Umuahia North LGA,/Abia State on Friday, 17th April, 2026.

A release endorsed by his son and Chief Mourner, Comrade Ikechukwu Onuegbu, says, there will be Sing Song on Thursday, 16th April, 2026 by 5pm at Umuaroko Village Square.

According to the release, Friday, 17th April, 2026, by 10:30 in the morning, there will be funeral service by the Church of Christ, Amuzuoro Ibeku, Umuahia North LGA at Ndume Otuka Secondary School Playground, adjacent Industrial Market, by Ahiaeke Market, thereafter interment.

Aged 95, Late Mama Helen Chinyere Abalogu is survived by children, grandchildren, inlaws and a host of other relatives including the Abia State NUJ Secretary, Comrade Ikechukwu Onuegbu.

It further notes that a foundation will be inaugurated in her honour at the farewell event, as a way to immortalize Mama Abalogu’s lofty ideals for women development.

Family members, friends, well-wishers and associates are warmly invited to join in celebrating the life of a devoted mother, grandmother and pillar of the family whose legacy of love, faith and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
