It is no longer news that Abia State was created in August 1991 by General Ibrahim Babangida , the former Nigerian Military head of state.
The State after creation was superintended over by several military administrators and civilian Governors.
Prominent among them were the last four democratically elected Governors, namely late Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief T.A.Orji and the immediate past Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.
There is no gain saying the fact that the four former civilian Governors all served for good eight years and did their best.
However,Abia State ,in May 29,2023, saw the emergence of another brand new civilian Governor in the person of Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
It’s today an incontrovertible truism that Governor Otti, in less than three years in office has recorded unprecedented and unparalleled developmental and infrastructural achievements in all facets and nooks and crannies of Abia State.
In the area of road projects, Dr Alex Otti has become a conspicuous champion,trail blazer and the man to beat among his counterparts in other states.
Today,Abia State schools, hospitals, the work force , trade and commerce, environmental cleanliness, security, clean and very comfortable offices for Government officials and civil servants are simply top notch.
Workers and pensioners are receiving their salaries and pensions on or before the 28th of every month.
The road infrastructure in our metropolitan cities of Aba, Umuahia,Ohafia and other uncountable number of trunk A, B and C roads are receiving non stop attention in all the seventeen local government areas.
The Abia State International Airport at Nsulu, Enyimba International Hotels , Aba, the ultra modern bus terminal at Umuahia and numerous other quality projects are ongoing and at incremental velocity everywhere in Abia State.
Abia State is today one of the fastest growing states in quality infrastructure and other developmental indices.
Today, we can proudly count our State among other States in Nigeria that are making verifiable progress in all ramifications.
We can unarguably see, feel, and relish in them, devoid of any sycophantic posturings, nuances and innuendos.
This is why all roads will tomorrow Saturday April 4th, 2026, lead to Nbawsi Umuomainta mini stadium in Isiala Ngwa North, as the good people of Umunneato Ngwa made up of Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South and Osisioma Ngwa converge on the ancient town of Nbawsi in their numbers to witness the defection from other political parties to the Labour party by some Umunneato Ngwa people in other to complement, work, identify and give unadulterated and tangible support to the reelection of our performing Governor,Dr Alex Chioma Otti,come February 2027.
That Governor Otti will serve for eight good years is of course a done deal,and the good people of Umunneato Ngwa ,where the Governor comes from will assuredly be in the lead to help actualize this.
If he has noticeably turned Abia State around for about three years now, we all can imagine what Abia will look like after eight years under his watch.
One good turn they say deserves another, hence every right thinking and patriotic Abian should rally round Governor Alex Otti to help make his reelection a beautiful and rancour free one.
This will enable Governor Alex Otti to complete the numerous ongoing projects that are in various locations in Abia State and to equally initiate and complete new ones.
The good people of Umunneato Ngwa , therefore look forward to seeing you at Nbawsi Umuomainta mini stadium on Saturday April 4th,2026,by 10am , to join Governor Alex Otti to receive the numerous men and women of Umunneato Ngwa from other political parties as they voluntarily and joyfully decamp to the Labour party to support our beloved Governor Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, going forward.
