The Abia State Government has commenced survey activities at the first Abia International Airport.
The State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr Chaka Chukwumerije, who gave this cheering news to newsmen, said that this follows extensive discussions and community negotiations by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on on Lands and Housing, Pastor Okorougo Aji, covering the seven land donor communities in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA.
Mr. Chukwumerije disclosed that proper understanding has been reached with the land donor communities, which include the Joint Survey activities between the Office of the Surveyor General and the Nsulu donor Communities as represented by their various youth leaders.
He confirmed that proper enumeration will be carried out and compensation paid, in line with the Land Use Act and appreciated the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Ajagba, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Housing, Pastor Aji, for their continuous efforts in engaging with the community.
