The outgoing State Head of Service, Abia State, Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Queen Obioma has officially handed over to the new State Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojiekere.
In her remarks, before the handing over ceremony, the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Mrs. Obioma who saw her appointment as an act of grace hinted that grace saw her through.
She reminded the new Head of Service that whom much is given, much is expected and expressed the confidence in the abilities of her successor to succeed.
The outgoing Head of Service used the medium to thank the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti for giving her the opportunity to serve and used the forum to thank the body of Permanent Secretaries and the staff, office of the Head of Service for their support and cooperation for her success story and urged them to extend same to the new Head of Service.
Responding, the new Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojiekere who commended the outgoing Head of Service for living the service better than she met it, reaffirmed his commitment and determination to put in his best towards achieving a virile Civil Service.
Mr. Ojiekere also solicited the support of all with a view to achieving a common goal adding that with team work and cordial relationship, he will succeed.
In their separate speeches, some of the Permanent Secretaries who spoke, described the outgoing Head of Service as a woman of integrity whose peaceful disposition is second to none and they thanked God that she is retiring meritoriously and in good health and wished her well in her future endeavours.
