The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs has embarked on a revalidation outreach of the Motherless Babies Homes in the State.

Mrs. Otti who visited SDA Motherless Babies Home Aba, and Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Home Aba disclosed that the aim of the revalidation is to ensure that all Motherless Babies Home in Abia both Government and individually owned live up to standard.
The Wife of the Governor represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Maureen Aghukwa, said the Governor Alex Otti’s administration is committed to prioritizing the welfare of the Vulnerable and Charitable Homes to ensure they are not left behind in the scheme of things.
She further commended the Coordinators and Caregivers of the Homes for the selfless humanitarian services they are rendering to the Homes and prayed God to bless them.
In her speech, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Poverty Alleviation and Vulnerable Group, Mrs. Ifeoma Thomas also enjoined the Coordinators of the Charitable Homes to ensure that their organization aligns with Government’s standards by ensuring that their registration is up to date to enable them benefit from every largesse meant for Motherless Babies Homes in the State.
In their remarks, the Founder, Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Homes, Mrs Joyce Nwobi, the Chairman Board of Trustees, Mr. Reginald Nwobi, and the coordinator, SDA Motherless Babies Home, Madam Angela Ndubuisi thanked the Governor, Dr Alex Otti and his wife Mrs. Priscilla Otti for their benevolence and for always taking the affairs of the Vulnerable to heart and prayed God to bless his administration.
Our correspondent reports that the outreach featured the distribution of bags of rice, toiletries, food items and cash donation of One Million Naira to each home including One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira for the Caregivers.
