The Abia State Government has banned the operation of “Pick and Drop” buses popularly known as “Aka N’elu” in the state.
A press release signed by the state Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu says the ban is with immediate effect.
The release also ban activities of illegal Motor Park and loading bays directing all transporters to operate only on Government Approved Motor Parks.
According to the release, a TaskForce has been set up to apprehend defaulters, impound their vehicles and ensure strict compliance.
