The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has restated the state government’s commitment to driving massive development across the state.
Pastor Ajagba who stated this at his Umuezegu Nsulu countryhome in Isiala Ngwa North LGA when he hosted the Nsulu airport community landowners forum and the Nsulu Youth Development Forum, maintained that Governor Alex Otti has within the last 22 months in office redefined governance and transformed the state positively.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor commended the Nsulu airport community landowners forum led by Chief Uzo Azubuike for their commitment, patience, understanding and collaboration with the state government towards actualizing the proposed Abia Airport and assured that government will fulfill its obligation especially in payment of adequate compensation to all land owners.
He also used the opportunity to advise landowners to ensure they invest the money paid them as compensation for their lands taken for the airport project into meaningful ventures that will benefit them in the future as well as reminded Nsulu youths of the need to continue supporting worthy initiatives by government that will bring development to the clan, the state and turn around their fortunes for good.
In their speeches, the leader of the Nsulu community airport landowners forum and Chairman of the airport MoU Drafting Committee, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike, the airport Technical Sub-committee Chairman, Dr Chibuzor Emeruwa, the Community Relations Committee chairman, Rev. Israel Ukaoma, their Media and Publicity Affairs counterpart, Prince Clinton Uba and Dr Eric Opah commended Governor Alex otti for his Infrastructural revolution across the state especially the ongoing reconstruction of the Ntigha-Nbawsi-Umuala road and the siting of the Abia airport in Nsulu.
They also thanked the Governor for commencing the payment of full compensation to the airport landowners and for appointing a seasoned technocrat, administrator and a worthy son of Nsulu land, Pastor Caleb Ajagba as his Chief of Staff and assured of the total support of Nsulu people towards actualizing the airport project in record time.
Also speaking, the leader of Greater Nsulu Youth Development Forum, Mr Chisom Nwaogbe while describing the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba as a father and worthy leader, thanked him for providing the youths with the right mentorship and pledged their unalloyed support to the Governor Otti led administration in the state.
The enlarged meeting which attracted notable personalities from Nsulu and beyond featured the passage of a vote of confidence on Governor Alex Otti by the people and nomination of Dr Eric Opah as their consensus candidate for the post of Chairman of Oha Nsulu Unity Forum.
