Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has restated his administration’s commitment to nurturing young minds and empowering them to become agents of development and moral reawakening.
Governor Otti who stated this at the Federal Government Girls’ College Umuahia, while declaring open the 24th edition of Eagle’s Convention organized by the Aflame Family International, said it is the reason his administration has continued to invest in education, youth empowerment, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and leadership training.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, while describing the theme of the convention, “As we behold,” as apt, as it speaks to the power of divine encounter and spiritual reflection in shaping the lives and destinies of individuals especially the youth, noted that young people who are transformed from within, become the seeds of national renewal, the torchbearers of leadership, and the instruments of holistic change across every sector of the society.
The State Chief Executive further commended the convener of the Eagle’s Convention, Pastor Uche Amah-Ohakah, for his vision, unwavering commitment, passion for youth development and spiritual revival which has birthed a convention that continues to grow in influence and relevance annually.
In his speech, the Convener of Eagle’s Convention, Pastor Uche Amah-Ohakah, said their mission is to continuously create the right atmosphere that will ensure that people grow and succeed in their academics, career, business, relationships, marriage and spiritual lives.
He thanked Governor Alex Otti for his leadership ingenuity and transformational strides across all sectors of the state economy, pointing out that Abia youths are indeed proud of his monumental achievements within two years in office.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle Kenneth Wiper among other top government officials accompanied the Governor’s representative to the occasion.
