The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has identified pride, disrespect for others, lack of vision and purpose and living a fake life as major hindrances to greatness.

Pastor Ajagba who disclosed this at Government College Umuahia while delivering a lecture as Guest Speaker at the ongoing second set of Abia Leadership Academy (ALA), an initiative of the Governor Alex Otti led administration designed to groom the next generation of leaders in the State,
cautioned youths against traits that limit their potentials in life.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor while speaking on the theme “The Servant Leader: Values and Outlook”, emphasized that true leadership is defined by humility, service, and a commitment to uplifting others.
Citing examples of transformational leaders including Jesus Christ, Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, and Governor Alex Otti, Pastor Ajagba underscored the importance of resilience, focus, and selflessness in leadership, and urged participants to emulate these values and remain committed to impacting lives, even in the face of daunting challenges.
“Genuine leaders must put the needs of others first, focus on their growth and well-being, inspire them through positive influence, and cultivate a circle of motivation and responsibility,” he stated.
He further encouraged the youths to set clear goals, cultivate humility, build quality friendships, and constantly seek self-improvement through learning, asking questions, and renewing their minds as well as stressed the need for them to develop their leadership capacity, expand their vision, and avoid self-imposed limitations if they truly aspire to become great leaders.
In their speeches, the Lead Consultant and Camp Commandant of Abia Leadership Academy, Mr. Johnson Abbaly and the Care Facilitator/Head of Administration, Prof. Adanma Ohia, described the Academy as a youth-centered platform launched by Governor Alex Otti to nurture civic-minded leaders with responsibility, innovation, and ethical values.
They further commended Pastor Ajagba for his insightful presentation, noting that his words has left a lasting impression on the participants.
The program which featured question-and-answer session, also attracted the presence of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr. Dodoh Okafor among other distinguished personalities.
