The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Abia State, has announced the forthcoming flag-off of the “Chronicles of Enyimba,” a landmark cultural film initiative proudly endorsed by the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

The event which is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 22nd November, 2025 at the Aba Town Hall Auditorium, is conceived as a creative celebration of Abia’s rich history, cultural heritage, and artistic ingenuity, the project aims to reposition the state as a rising hub for storytelling, tourism, and the creative economy.

Speaking on the significance of the event, the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Abia State, Hon. Matthew Ekwuribe, expressed profound enthusiasm for the project. He described the Chronicles of Enyimba as a bold demonstration of the ministry’s commitment to preserving Abia’s cultural memory while nurturing its expanding creative industry.

Hon. Ekwuribe noted that the project aligns with Governor Alex Otti’s cultural development agenda and will serve as a springboard for talent discovery, youth empowerment, and economic diversification. He reaffirmed his ministry’s readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the project becomes a reference point for cultural innovation in Nigeria.

He further applauded Governor Otti for fostering a conducive environment where creativity can thrive and for championing initiatives that elevate Abia’s image at home and abroad.

The event will have as Chairman, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, founder of the CAADES Group and the Chima Anyaso Foundation.

The project team therefore invites the public to support and actively participate in this milestone initiative aimed at elevating Abia’s cultural narrative and expanding its economic footprint. Through collective effort, Chronicles of Enyimba promises to redefine how Abia tells its story and how the world perceives the Enyimba spirit.
