UMUAHIA – The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has reiterated Governor Alex Otti administration’s commitment to setting a new benchmark for good governance across the nation.

Pastor Ajagba who disclosed this while addressing members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council, maintained that the present administration has already positioned Abia as a model for other states.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor while attributing the influx of residents and rising property values across the state to ongoing development, described the transformation recorded in less than three years as remarkable and driven by both strategic leadership and divine support.

Pastor Ajagba while reaffirming the state government’s commitment to workers’ welfare, disclosed that the state government has also introduced measures to support the elderly, stressing that the governor’s focus on excellence and human capital development is central to sustaining progress across the state.
Emphasising the watchdog role of the media, Pastor Ajagba called for objective and constructive reportage, assuring that the administration would not stifle press freedom.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Deacon Steve Oko, commended ongoing developments in the state and reiterated journalists’ commitment to holding government accountable, while urging sustained efforts towards improving the welfare of the people.
