Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has condoled the traditional ruler of Oriendu Autonomous Community in Umuahia North Local Government Area, Eze Pastor Philip Ajomiwe, over the death of his wife, Ugoeze Judith Ihuoma Ajomiwe.

In his condolence message delivered during the funeral service conducted by Power Word International Incorporated at the Oriendu Community Primary School field, Governor Otti described the death of Ugoeze Ajomiwe as a huge loss to the Ajomiwe royal dynasty, Oriendu Autonomous Community, Abia State, and all who benefited from her charitable works.

The Governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, described the deceased as a supportive wife, caring mother and distinguished community leader whose faith and strength of character remained a source of inspiration to her husband, family and the community. He noted that her wisdom, compassion and unwavering commitment to community development would forever be remembered.

Governor Otti urged the Ajomiwe royal family and the people of Oriendu to take solace in the fact that the late Ugoeze lived a fulfilled, dignified and impactful life, offering unwavering support and encouragement to everyone around her before answering the final call to glory.

Delivering a homily titled “Joy,” the Lead Pastor of Power Word International Incorporated, Pastor Uche Ume, described joy as an essential ingredient for a fulfilled life in Christ and urged Christians to live righteously in order to inherit eternal life.

In a tribute on behalf of the family, the daughter of the deceased, Princess Nneoma Ajomiwe, described her late mother as loving, caring, God-fearing and a devoted community leader who dedicated her life to the service of God and humanity.

In his vote of thanks, the chief mourner and husband of the deceased, Eze Pastor Philip Ajomiwe, described his late wife as a loving companion, dependable partner and pillar of support. He expressed gratitude to Governor Alex Otti, Chief Obi Aguocha, traditional rulers and their wives, the clergy, the people of Oriendu, friends and well-wishers for standing by his family during their time of grief.

Late Ugoeze Judith Ihuoma Ajomiwe died at the age of 60. She is survived by her husband, children and many other relatives.

The funeral service featured prayers for the bereaved family and goodwill messages. It was attended by the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Chief Obi Aguocha, the Federal Commissioner representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission, Mayor of Umuahia North, traditional rulers and their wives, clergymen, community leaders and other distinguished personalities.
