Borno State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umuar Usman Kadafur, and over one hundred passengers narrowly escaped a tragic incident when a Max Air Aircraft experienced an Engine Fire shortly after take-off from Maiduguri International Airport.
Report has it that the incident occurred around seven o’clock in the evening yesterday when the Aircraft en-route to Abuja, suffered Engine failure caused by a bird strike about ten minutes into the flight.
It says the pilot and crew managed to execute an emergency landing back at Maiduguri Airport, averting disaster.
A Staff of Max Air who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident yesterday morning.
