The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives and Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has pledged to work with the Abia Grassroot Movement to give Abians more dividends of democracy.
The Rt. Hon. Kalu who made the pledge when he received a mammoth crowd of Abia Grassroot Movement at his Bende Country home described the Movement as a force to be reckoned with in engendering good governance.
He commended Abia Grassroot Movement for their exploits in the agricultural sector especially production of food crops for the populace and assured of his resolve to work with the Abia Grassroot Movement in giving the people quality representation at the National Assembly.
Speaking earlier, the Founder of Abia Grassroot Movement, Chief Israel Amanze said they came to identify with Chief Benjamin Kalu and appreciate him for being a strong voice and making Abia proud at the National Assembly thanked him for all the projects scattered all over his Constituency and beyond.
Chief Amanze described Abia Grassroot Movement which was founded in 2010 is an enlarged movement of farmers and other Professionals from agricultural commodity groups and Cooperative Societies and has made significant contributions to the food security of Abia State and Nigeria in general.
He congratulated Chief Kalu on his election as the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives and restated the readiness of the Movement to work with him in driving down more dividends of democracy to the state.
