
The President, Globe Legislators International, Rt. Hon. Sam I. Onuigbo, has drummed for massive support from all Nigerians, especially stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be united and sure up efforts toward ensuring the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 2027 Presidential election.

Rt. Hon. Onuigbo who made the call at his Odozi Obodo Hills, Obuohia Obi-Ibere country home in Ikwuano Local Government Area, Abia State at a stakeholders’ engagement he convened for his Odozi Obodo Campaign Organization to formally thank them and flag off the campaign for President Tinubu’s second term, urged all to shun sentiments and support the reelection of the President for the sake of consolidating on the many gains of the present administration.

“It is obvious that President Tinubu has done remarkably well in repositioning Nigeria in the global economy, even as the country is still ‘a work- in- progress’. Without doubt, the President deserves a second term to finish off the good job he has started.”
The former lawmaker who represented Ikwuano- Umuahia Federal Constituency between 2011 and 2019 urged APC stakeholders to intensify efforts toward President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, stressing the need to consolidate the administration’s Renewed Hope reforms. “On my part, I am determined to continue projecting APC, preserving the ideals of good governance we cherish and for the consolidation of Mr. President’s reforms”.

According to the former lawmaker, increased FAAC allocations to all tiers of government, improved crude oil production and refining capacity, rising foreign reserves, foreign investments, NELFUND funding, economic diversification and foreign exchange reforms are some of the key achievements of the administration.
” Federal Accounts Allocation Committee funds distributed to the three tiers increased from N711 billion in 2023 to BE.5 trillion in 2026. Today, Governors are getting about five times more from FAAC funds than they received during previous administrations. These huge fiscal inflows to the states account for the rapid development that is impacting almost every local government in Abia State and indeed, in all the states of the Federation”.
Speaking further, the sponsor of the Nigeria Climate Change Act said the South-East Development Commission, infrastructure projects, airport expansion, proposed Enugu-Port Harcourt rail line, federal road reconstruction and the restoration of management courses at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
Onuigbo maintained that Tinubu deserved a second term to consolidate his achievements, urging party stakeholders to prioritise the President’s re-election over personal political ambitions.

He thanked members for their support during his senatorial campaign and expressed optimism that better opportunities lay ahead for them and the APC.
“The stakes are higher now than when we joined the APC, especially because of the bold and courageous reforms the President has initiated under the aegis of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Mr President deserves the support of every genuine APC member, and indeed, every Nigerian. I dare say that it is our bounden duty to keep supporting the President and work hard to ensure he wins the January 16, 2027 Presidential election for the fact that he needs to consolidate on the solid foundation already laid”.
Responding, the Director General, Odozi Obodo Campaign Organization, Hon. Williams Ukattu who moved a motion for the adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their sole candidate in the 2027 Presidential election, a motion which was seconded by Lady Odochi Odor, said Rt. Hon. Onuigbo has always shown leadership in his dealings and public life, hence the clamour for him to be given the party’s senatorial ticket for Abia Central, but regretted the turn of events.
Hon. Ukattu assured that they would rally round the President and ensure his return to office, in keeping with the appeal by Rt. Hon. Onuigbo.
Also speaking, some of the stakeholders including Mr Nwalaezeligwe Brown, Lady Odochi Odor and Pastor Henry Eze appreciated Rt. Hon. Onuigbo for deeming it fit to bring them together after the party primaries to thank and encourage them, describing him as a true leader who is known for not abandoning but carrying his people along at all times and situation. They called on him not to be discouraged by the ugly displays by some party faithful during the primaries, expressing optimism of better days ahead.
Contributing, Mrs Nnenna Aaron, Chief Augustine Iheanyi Anyaegbu and Hon. Mrs Ezenwanyi Emelogu stressed the need for the genuine and positive efforts of the President to be properly situated in the public domain to dispell the negetive narratives being peddled by the opposition.
They promised to straighten and sustain their mobilization drive for the reelection of the president for him to do more for Nigerians.
