OBINGWA – Women from the seven autonomous communities that make up Mgboko Amairi Ancient Kingdom in Obingwa LGA, have held their maiden August Meeting, using the occasion to promote unity, cultural heritage, women empowerment and sustainable development across the kingdom.
The meeting, organized under the leadership of Apostle and Mrs Daniel Young Iheadindueme, State Commander of ASCP, Prime Minister of Mgboko and political leader of Ward 6, Obingwa, brought together women from Mgboko Ukwu, Mgboko Oma, Udo Mgboko, Amator Mgboko, Obi Mgboko Amaisii and Ike Mgboko autonomous communities, alongside Mgboko Amairi stakeholders and distinguished guests.
In his remarks, Apostle Iheadindueme commended the women for coming together under one umbrella, describing the maiden meeting as an important milestone in strengthening the bonds of unity and cooperation among the seven communities. He urged them to sustain the spirit of togetherness, support initiatives that would improve the welfare of families and communities, and play a more active role in the development of Mgboko Amairi.
The Mayor of Obingwa Local Government Area, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, who was among the dignitaries at the event, commended the women of Mgboko Amairi for their initiative and collective commitment to community development.
He encouraged them to remain united, peaceful and supportive of programmes capable of advancing the socio-economic wellbeing of their communities, assuring them of the local government administration’s readiness to support initiatives that promote grassroots development.
In her speech earlier, the Chairman of the occasion and Labour Party candidate for Obingwa West State Constituency, Chief Mrs Victoria Dibunma Onwubuiko, commended the women for organizing the maiden August Meeting, describing it as a significant platform for strengthening unity, solidarity and development among the seven communities.
She urged the women to continue to support one another, remain committed to the progress of their families and communities, and use their collective strength to promote peace, development and positive change in Mgboko Amairi.
The women of Mgboko Amairi expressed profound appreciation to Apostle Daniel Young Iheadindueme for initiating and sponsoring the maiden August Meeting, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to the unity, welfare and development of the women and the entire Mgboko Amairi Ancient Kingdom.
They commended his vision and generosity in bringing the seven autonomous communities together under one platform, praying that God would continue to strengthen and bless him and his family as he sustains his contributions to the growth of the kingdom.
Other dignitaries at the meeting includes Crown Prince Bobby Eberechi Dick, Hon. CC Okwuonu, President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Hon. Sir Ndubuisi Nweke, Royal Highness Eze Stanhope O. Okeorji, High Chief Dr Chidiadi Izima, High Chief John Ubani, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hon. Chief Chizaramekpere Sunday of Don Zara Logistics International Ltd and Hon. Godfrey Achim Ngwakwe.
The event, chaired by Mrs Nwamara Isaac Nworu, also featured the participation of High Chief Blessings Chioma Nwankpa, Chair Lady, Diaspora, and other community leaders and stakeholders.
