The Governor, Dr Alex Otti has felicitated the Anglican Bishop of Isiala South and Archbishop of Aba Province, The Most Rev Isaac Nwaobia and his wife, Mrs Hope Nwaobia on the occasion of their consecration anniversary and second term presentation thanksgiving service as Archbishop of Aba Province.

Speaking at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Owerrinta in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Governor Otti commended Archbishop Nwobia for his exemplary style of leadership which led to his appointment for a second term in office as the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical province of Aba.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba while describing the celebrant as the mouthpiece of God and a focused and committed servant of God, disclosed that they came to give honour to whom it is due.

The State Chief Executive further explained that the celebration is an acknowledgement of the hand of God upon the celebrants life and promised to continue to partner the church in their programs.

In her speech, the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti while describing the celebrant as a huge blessing to her family, also congratulated him on the milestone he has achieved and wished him well in his second tenure as the Archbishop of Aba Diocese.

In a homily, the Anglican Bishop of Arochukwu/Ohafia Diocese, The RT. Rev. Johnson Onuoha disclosed that the struggle for position has made many Christians especially religious leaders to lose focus on their divine calling and called on all to be more concerned on where they will spend eternity.

In their goodwill messages, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe and the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Mr Nnadozie Nwaogwugwu congratulated Archbishop Nwobia on his successful consecration anniversary and second term presentation and wished him well as he carries on with the good work he is doing in the province.

In his thanksgiving, the Anglican Bishop of Isiala South and Archbishop of Aba Province, The Most Rev. Isaac Nwaobia thanked God for his mercies and grace upon his family and promised to remain more focused and committed in the propagation of the gospel of Christ.

He also used the opportunity to appreciate his family for their care and support as well as thanked the Governor and his wife, the church and all that came to celebrate with him.

Our correspondent reports that the ceremony attracted the presence of LGA Mayors among other distinguished personalities while the Governor’s representative later joined the Deputy Mayor of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Lady Vivian Obilor in her thanksgiving service at Aba.
