Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has emphasized that the state is open to business and is committed to fostering an environment where enterprises can thrive.

Governor Otti made this statement on Sunday while opening the JOVIT MALL in Aba, the state’s commercial hub. He reassured private investors and entrepreneurs that his administration is dedicated to supporting businesses in the state.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, Governor Otti encouraged investors from other states and cities across Nigeria to consider Abia for their business ventures.

“This government is fully committed to creating a business-friendly environment that supports growth and prosperity.

“Now is the perfect time to invest in Abia. Doubts about the current administration should be a thing of the past.

“Bring your businesses back from Abuja, Lagos, and wherever they are. Abia is open for business,” Governor Otti affirmed.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s determination to redefine governance in Abia State, emphasizing their focused efforts on transformation.

“The government is deliberate about reshaping the state and making Abia a prime destination for investors, families, students, and everyone else.

“If you observe closely, you’ll see significant infrastructure development across the state and investments in security, aimed at safeguarding the lives and property of all those residing in or doing business in Abia,” Governor Otti said.

He further assured that his government would continue to improve infrastructure, including road development, to enhance the business climate in the state.

Governor Otti also praised JOVIT Group for taking the lead in setting an example for other investors to follow, thanking them for aligning with the vision of a new and revitalized Abia.

In his remarks, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Trade and Investment, Chief Nwaka Inem, highlighted the bold steps taken by the Otti administration in the past 19 months to rejuvenate Aba as the center of trade, commerce, and industry.

“Aba is reclaiming its rightful place under Governor Otti’s leadership,” he said. “The opening of JOVIT MALL exemplifies the progress made so far, and we urge everyone to continue supporting this administration’s vision.”

Also speaking, a renowned Traditional Ruler from Aba North LGA, Eze Isaac Ikonne while describing the infrastructural progress in Aba as unprecedented, also prayed for Governor Otti’s success as well as urged the people to support his leadership.

In her address on behalf of JOVIT GROUP, Mrs. Jovita Oguta, expressed her belief that the new mall would significantly contribute to Abia’s economic development through creation of jobs for the teeming youths.

She thanked Governor Otti for establishing an environment that allows businesses to thrive and encouraged other investors to consider Abia for their ventures.

The Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Mr Matthew Ekwuruibe, Special Adviser to Abia State Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma among other notable personalities witnessed the opening of the shopping mall.
