The Member Representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu has felicitated Abians, and indeed all Nigerians on the occasion of the 65 Years of the Nation’s independence.

In a message through his Media Unit, Ochake as popularly called by his admirers, used the occasion to commend Nigerians on their ingenuity, resilience, elasticity hard work, tolerance and patriotism which has endeared the nation to this moment, expressing optimism on the future of the country.
He urged Nigerians to keep faith with their leaders, insisting that the nation will sooner or later navigate through some of the Socio-economic challenges that’s confronting us, insisting that many developed and successful Nations of today had in time past had their own Fair share of refining moments.
The Ngwa Ukwu born Lawmaker recalled with nostalgia that the fight for Nigeria’s independence involved countless heroes and heroines who stood for justice and equality, and further paid special glowing tributes to the likes of Chief Jaja Wachuku, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Anthony Enahoro, Sir Tafawa Belewa Among others, and appealed to Nigerians to uphold the virtues and values these patriots stood for.
At the home front, Chief Iheonunekwu commended the undettered efforts of Dr. Alex Otti in changing the negative perception Abia was known for, as things have gone from bad to good within his two and half years in office, urging all Abians both at home and in diaspora to close ranks and support the Governor’s developmental road map which is visible in every nook and cranny of the State.
Further more, he reassured the people of Isiala Ngwa North of his unwavering and unrelenting efforts towards attracting more dividends of Democracy to the constituents, and expressed his gratitude to them for their continued support, steadfastness and solidarity since assumption of office, a gesture he maintained he wouldn’t take for granted.
