The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danladi Isa has advised the public to remain security conscious as they go about their activities.
Mr. Isa who gave the advice after leading an operation along Asaga road by Terry Key in Ohafia axis in a bid to apprehend the hoodlums who ambushed and attacked police officers on patrol during which Mr. Edet Uboulo lost his life, while others sustained injuries.
The Police Boss disclosed that watertight security measures have been put in place in collaboration with the Army Component from the 14 Brigade Ohafia and enjoined members of the public to report any suspicious person with bullet wounds to the nearest police station.
He made it clear that the police will not rest on its oars until the perpetrators of the heinous crime are fished out to face justice, pointing out that his Command will continue to protect lives and property of Abians and residents in the state.
