Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, says the aged long dilapidated Omenuko Bridge in Arochukwu Local Government Area will be officially flagged off for reconstruction on Tuesday, this week.

Governor Otti who made this known during the January 2025 Edition of the Monthly Media Parley tagged, “Governor Otti Speaks to Abians” noted that the Omenuko Bridge has long been a death trap for decades with multiple lives lost due to its deteriorated state, revealing that his administration has already commenced work on the bridge.
The Governor while stressing the importance of the bridge in enhancing mobility and economic activities in the areas, said that his Government is determined to providing accessible road for the people.
In the area of road Infrastructure, Governor Otti vowed that the State government would continue to be focused in its determination to create access roads across the seventeen Local Government Areas of the State.
On the issue of Security, Governor Otti reassured Abians that his administration remains committed to ensuring the safety of all, adding that the government would continue to do whatever is necessary to guarantee peaceful atmosphere in the State.
The Governor said although the State is relatively peaceful compared to other States, his government has zero tolerance for crime and is working strategically to combat insecurity across the State, urging citizens to be vigilant, report suspicious movements, and actively participate in securing their Communities.
On the issue of Waste Management, Governor Otti revealed that his government is taking proactive steps to convert waste into wealth and disclosed ongoing partnerships with private individuals and organizations to transform waste into useful resources, including Electricity generation.
He expressed gratitude to the people of the State for their unwavering support for his administration and reassured that his government is dedicated to serving their interests and improving their quality of life.
