Governor Alex Otti says his administration is committed to championing good Governance, transparency and proper Stewardship for peace, unity and development in the State.
Governor Otti who stated this during the launch of Aid-Peace Foundation and Public Books Presentation written by Pastor Uche Nwokehuru, a Member of Abia State Pilgrims Board held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Abia North Central Conference Headquarters Umuahia, said the four books captured his administration’s advocacy for good governance, unity in diversity, and challenged Leaders to choose the part of leading the people with the fear of God.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, congratulated the Author of the Books and President, Aid-Peace Foundation, for being a vessel God is using to redirect the consciousness of people on the need for a united nation irrespective of tribes, beliefs, as well as championing the great transformation of the present administration in the state.
In their remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue, Elder Emmanuel Okpechi and the President, Singles and Married Fellowship International, Pastor Chioma Ibezim, said that the books written by Pastor Uche Nwokehuru centered on promoting peaceful co-existence, good governance of the administration of Governor Otti, to inspire both Christians and Muslims to join hands to build a better nation, and commended the Author on his efforts to put the books together.
Preaching, the President, Abia North Central Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Umuahia, Pastor Kennedy Iheoma, said that the books written by Pastor Nwokehuru is a testament of the fact that God is still manifesting his glory through every verifiable means of information dissemination, and advised people not to take God’s word for granted.
In his remarks, the Author of the Books and President, Aid-Peace Foundation, Pastor Uche Nwokehuru, disclosed that the books represent a defining milestones of his vision for a peaceful co-existence, power of unity and practical road map to interface relationships and harmony among Christians and Muslims, as well as the need to support the transformational Initiatives of the Governor across all sectors in the state.
Pastor Nwokehuru who is also a Clergyman in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, said that the books define his shared commitment to promote unity, truth and ideas that will promote peaceful co-existence among Christians and Muslims in the country and appreciated God for making the dream a reality and the Governor for honoring his invitation.
The Books and Aid-Peace Foundation launch was witnessed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Apostle K.C Wiper, the Chief Iman of Abia State, Sheik Ali Ukiwo, Members of the State Pilgrims Board, Traditional Rulers, and Clergymen.
