ABIA – Governor Alex Otti has condoled with the Jaja-Wachuku family of Umunkpeyi Nbawsi in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area over the death of their elder brother, Mr Ndubuisi Okwosha Odoegbulam Jaja-Wachuku.

In his condolence message, delivered during a funeral service conducted by St. George’s Anglican Church, Nbawsi, Governor Otti described the death of Mr Ndubuisi as a painful loss to his family, community and all who knew him.

The Governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, described the deceased as a humble, cerebral and peace-loving man who, despite coming from one of the most distinguished families in Ngwaland and Nigeria, remained unassuming, approachable and contented. He said Mr Jaja-Wachuku related with people across social divides with dignity and genuine warmth.

The State Chief Executive noted that the death of Mr Ndubuisi was a reminder that true greatness was not measured by pedigree, possessions or position, but by the positive difference one made in the lives of others. He encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that their late brother lived a good and impactful life.

In his homily, the Anglican Bishop of Isiala Ngwa, the Rt. Rev. Temple Nwogu, urged people to desist from living their lives as they pleased without regard for their ultimate accountability, stressing that a day would come when everyone would give an account of their stewardship on earth.

In his tribute, the first son of the deceased, Mr Uzoma Jaja-Wachuku, thanked God for the impactful life of his father and appreciated Governor Otti, members of the family, the church and all those who came to identify with them at their time of grief.

Aged 70, late Mr Ndubuisi Okwosha Odoegbulam Jaja-Wachuku, who until his death was the first son of the late eminent statesman, Dr Jaja Anucha Wachuku, is survived by his wife, children and other relatives.

The funeral service, which featured prayers for the bereaved family, was attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Mazi Ugochukwu Okoroafor, among other distinguished personalities.
