The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has condoled with the Ugboaja family of Umuakpu Umuohu Okpula, Ndume Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA over the death of their father, Elder Chidozie Joseph Ugboaja.

In his condolence message during a funeral service conducted by the Apostolic Christian Church Mission (ACCM), Pastor Ajagba described death as a necessary end for all mortals, irrespective of age, class, and status.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, while describing the late Elder Ugboaja, who was his Chief Confidential Secretary until his retirement from the State civil service some months ago, as a highly dedicated and committed staff of Government House Umuahia, regretted that his death came at a time when he was needed the most.

Pastor Ajagba enjoined the bereaved family not to mourn as those without hope, but to remain strong and courageous, ensure they stay united in love, and continue to uphold the sterling qualities their late father left behind.

In a homily, Apostle J.U. Onwutebe charged all to always live with the consciousness of eternity and urged the Ugboaja family to use this period to embrace God more deeply.

In a tribute, the first daughter of the deceased, Mrs. Chioma Samuel, described her late father, Elder Chidozie Joseph Ugboaja, as a peaceful and loving father who devoted his time to the service of God and humanity, and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest in his bosom.

Aged 62, Late Elder Chidozie Joseph Ugboaja is survived by wife, children, grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

The funeral, which featured prayers for the bereaved family, choral renditions, and condolence messages, also attracted the presence of the Permanent Secretary, Government House Umuahia, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, among other notable personalities.
