Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has identified love as the bedrock of every successful home.
Governor Otti who disclosed this at the St. Michael’s Anglican Cathedral Aba, during the solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Miss Pamela Oyindamola Adigun and Mr Noble Ugwuzor, Son of the Anglican Bishop of Aba Diocese, noted that God’s presence cannot be found anywhere love is lacking.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, disclosed that the occasion is not just a union of two individuals, but a beautiful testament to the power of love, faith, and the enduring importance of family values, which his administration holds in the highest regard.
The State Chief Executive who explained that the strength of any society lies in the strength of its families, maintained that his administration remains committed to policies that promote unity, support marriage, protect the sanctity of the home and will continue to support initiatives that build social cohesion, promote mutual respect across ethnic and religious lines, and strengthen the moral fabric of communities.
According to the Governor, the celebration is more symbolic as it brings together two rich cultures, the Yoruba’s and Igbos who are united by love and mutual respect, adding that the marriage also reminds them as citizens of Nigeria that their diversity as a nation should not divide them but rather enrich and strengthen them.
He further noted that cultural differences are no barriers where there is love, understanding, and the fear of God and commended the couple for demonstrating that true unity can blossom when hearts are open and values are shared.
Preaching on the topic, “Unlocking the Holy Matrimony through two keys,” the Anglican Bishop of Ikwuano Diocese, RT. Rev. Chigozirim Onyegbule, who identified submission and love as the two keys to a successful marriage, enjoined the couple to uphold the first love that brought them together, love and respect each other as well as continue to make God the bedrock of their union.
