ABIA – The state government says that the Abia-Turkiye Investment Summit/Product Exhibition being organized by the state government between Tuesday and Thursday this week at the International Conference Center Umuahia, seeks to explore business opportunities across key sectors of the state.

Abia-Turkiye Investment Summit Set to Boost Manufacturing, Agriculture, Energy and Trade Sectors

Briefing journalists in Umuahia on the planned summit, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership, Chief Green Amankwe, noted that the summit is targeting key sectors including Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Agro-processing, Textile fashion and Leatherworks, Energy and infrastructure, Trade, logistics among others.

He announced that over 21-Yurkish and hundreds of Nigerian investors have registered to be part of the summit, pointing out that the administration of Governor Alex Otti has put a lot of efforts in creating more favourable investment atmosphere for investors from within and across the globe.

Chief Green Amankwe said that event with the theme: “Bridging Continents, unlocking Prosperity” will create opportunities for business to business meetings, to connect investors, exporters and local enterprises in addition to promoting trade cooperation and strategic joint ventures.

He said that the network of collaborations extends to Aba and Umuahia Chambers of Commerce and the various states Chambers of Commerce and industry including Lagos, Kano and the federal capital Territory, Abuja.

Contributing, some of the Turkish partners including, Mr Erdal Fatih Tozoglu and Mr Banw Yenlikaya, said that the Abia-Turkiye summit marks an Important step towards strengthening bilateral Economic cooperation and partnership, adding that the summit is expected to highlight Turkey’s long-standing commitment to advancing mutually beneficial ties with Africa and as well as explore new opportunities for collaboration with Abia state.
