ABIA – Governor Alex Otti, has identified thanksgiving as a powerful spiritual principle capable of attracting and unlocking multiple blessings from God.

Governor Otti made this known at the Wesley Cathedral, No. 1 Crowther by Umuwaya Road, Umuahia, during the maiden Abia Diaspora Thanksgiving Service, organized by the Kingdom Apostolic Revival Ministries (KARM) in partnership with the Methodist Church Nigeria, Umuahia Diocese.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, noted that thanksgiving remains a vital expression of faith, humility and acknowledgment of God’s unfailing grace, pointing out that a grateful heart positions individuals and societies to receive greater divine intervention and sustainable progress.
The State Chief Executive disclosed that the State Government recognizes the invaluable contributions of Abians in the diaspora to the socio-economic development of the state and commended the diaspora community for their continued support, investments, prayers and commitment to the growth and positive image of the State both at home and abroad.

He reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to transparent governance, people-oriented policies, infrastructural development and creating an enabling environment that encourages diaspora engagement and investment and appreciated the church and its leadership for their sustained prayers, moral guidance and support for the government’s vision of building a prosperous and God-fearing State.

In his sermon, the Leader of Kingdom Apostolic Revival Ministries (KARM), Apostle John Enelamah, stressed the importance of making judicious use of time, describing it as one of God’s most precious gifts to humanity. He admonished believers to invest their time wisely in pursuits that glorify God, foster unity and contribute meaningfully to societal development.
Apostle Enelamah explained that the Abia Diaspora Thanksgiving Service was conceived to unite Abians at home and in the diaspora in collective gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the years, adding that the gathering is also aimed at inspiring renewed commitment toward the progress, harmony and spiritual wellbeing of the State.

The thanksgiving service which featured prayers for the Governor and the state, also attracted the presence of the Archbishop of Methodist Diocese of Umuahia, Most Rev. Chibuzo Opoko among other distinguished personalities.
