The Director-General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA), Mr Francis Nwaubani, has commended the new leadership of the Labour Party in Abia State for introducing measures aimed at championing the achievements and transformational agenda of the Dr Alex Otti-led administration.


Mr Nwaubani stated this when he received the executive members of the Labour Party in the state, led by the State Chairman, Mr Peter Azubuike, who was represented by the Deputy Chairman, Abia South, Dr Kingsley Nwobilor, at his office.


The BCA Director-General described the new executive members of the party as people of proven integrity who have what it takes to justify the confidence reposed in them and take the party to greater heights.


He said Abians and residents beyond the state have continued to feel the impact of the good governance and landmark transformational initiatives of Governor Otti, whom he described as the leader of the Labour Party in Abia and across the country.


Mr Nwaubani described the Labour Party as a grassroots-oriented party and urged its leadership not to relent in projecting the achievements of the Governor. He pledged the unflinching support of the BCA in broadcasting the programmes, policies and achievements of the present administration and the Labour Party across the state.


He further described the Labour Party as the way forward for Abians in 2027 and beyond.
Speaking on behalf of the State Chairman, the Zonal Deputy Chairman, Abia South, Dr Kingsley Nwobilor, said the delegation was at the BCA to strengthen synergy and partnership with the corporation in building a more virile Labour Party and projecting the achievements of Governor Otti, as well as the need for continuity.


Also speaking, the State Vice-Chairman of the Labour Party, Apostle Mrs Eucharia Ibe, said the visit was to solicit the support and partnership of the BCA in the party’s commitment to championing the achievements of Governor Otti.


She said the engagement would extend to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and other sectors, while commending the corporation for the warm reception accorded the party leadership.
